These two are seriously the sweetest! You know it will be a fun session when they literally offer to “frolic through the fields” haha! Sunrise sessions have such amazing light if you plan it for the right time and shoot at a location that lends itself to the light coming from the right spots.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with the Louis family several times now and was so excited when Laura reached out to me this year for their fall family photos and wanted to switch it up! Last year we shot at a gorgeous park, this year we went for something a little bit classier with the Kimball Art Museum in Fort Worth. Laura’s inspiration came from the Kardashian family Christmas photos from a few years ago- so creative and so much fun to shoot! Don’t be afraid to think outside the box!
Such a joy to hang out with the Smith family again for Rowan’s lifestyle newborn session! A lot of newborn sessions take place in rooms of the home such as the nursery and master bedroom, but living or sitting rooms can be just as appropriate and give such a great laidback feel to the session. Anywhere there is natural light, i’m there!
After shooting their pregnancy announcement photos just a few short months ago- I knew their maternity session was going to be stunning!! Jordan has an amazing sense of style and I love the dresses she chose for this session. These looks just go to show that you don’t have to shop for only dresses that are specifically made for maternity, you can find pieces that will fit both during your pregnancy and after. It’s always nice to know you’ll be able to get use out of an outfit more than once. Cannot wait until their newborn session towards the end of the year!
Everleigh is one lucky little girl! After doing Chassidy’s maternity session I knew she had amazing style, but when I saw how beautifully decorated their home was it made all of my photographer dreams come true! I especially fell in love with Everleigh’s nursery and the soft colors and variety of textures they used to bring together their first born daughter’s room. I made sure to capture each hand made detail of Everleigh’s nursery, so much thought and love is put into nursery rooms and they won’t always look like that. I also have to applaud Chassidy for the bow collection she has acquired for Everleigh- she will have on brand bows every time she goes to target, Starbucks and chick-fil-a!
The Matthew’s house had the most amazing soft lighting throughout and the sweetest details that made this lifestyle newborn session oh so special! I especially adore all of the sweet little bows Michelle had ready for Callie to model. So precious.
The Smith family wanted something different and candid so we decided to split their session in half! Half in Deep Ellum and half over at White Rock Lake Park. We stopped by Serious Pizza in Deep Ellum to start off the session, because what better way to kick things off?! Their little man, Daxon, is so cute I can’t deal. This family session was also a maternity session as they are expecting their second son soon! I can’t wait to capture their first weeks as a family of four when baby arrives.
The middle of a Texas summer may not be the ideal time for a maternity session, but we got lucky and had a nice breeze during this sunset session. Brittany reached out and asked my advice on what to wear for her maternity session and I was so excited to see she was considering not only a short dress which is super cute and definitely more comfortable in this heat, but she also wanted to pair it with a kimono. I have a thing for kimonos because they add interest to an outfit as well as movement when there’s a breeze outside. The light blue paired with floral (another fave of mine) is perfect for this momma who is expecting their first child- a baby boy!
I’ve been wanting to do an in home couples session like this for so long, i’m so happy I got to do it with these two and their pup, Blue! In home sessions are seriously life savers during the hot Texas summers. These two wanted to celebrate moving into their new home with pizza, beer, and some adorable photos! I love in home sessions especially because every home is so unique, as are the people who live there. These sessions are a great way to have a laid back photo shoot, remember a home or celebrate a new one. Fill out the contact form under “contact” and lets plan your in home session!
Nicole + Daniel are engaged and knew they wanted to make their engagement session totally unique to them, and with Daniel’s lifelong love of all things Star Wars the decision was easy! Light sabers for a prop? Amazing! These two are getting married on a cruise ship so we also made sure to go to a location with a water feature to match the theme of water through out their photos. This park with a waterfall running over the cliffs and a lake with a cute dock leading out to the middle was perfect for this vision!
