This sweet family was such a joy to work with! Millie not only has two super loving parents but an older fur brother to protect her as well! The natural light and natural color scheme of the Balkin’s home was a dream come true for sweet and simple lifestyle newborn photos. Miss Millie has two different colored eyes which is SO cool and unique, only time will tell if they will stay two different colors but her parents fingers are crossed that she will get to embrace such a special trait. Millie’s parents decided to wait until Millie was a little bit older (3 mo.) than a typical newborn for her session, which worked out perfectly because she was awake and made such great eye contact which doesn’t usually happen for newborns in the first few weeks of life.
After shooting their pregnancy announcement photos just a few short months ago- I knew their maternity session was going to be stunning!! Jordan has an amazing sense of style and I love the dresses she chose for this session. These looks just go to show that you don’t have to shop for only dresses that are specifically made for maternity, you can find pieces that will fit both during your pregnancy and after. It’s always nice to know you’ll be able to get use out of an outfit more than once. Cannot wait until their newborn session towards the end of the year!
The Matthew’s house had the most amazing soft lighting throughout and the sweetest details that made this lifestyle newborn session oh so special! I especially adore all of the sweet little bows Michelle had ready for Callie to model. So precious.
The Smith family wanted something different and candid so we decided to split their session in half! Half in Deep Ellum and half over at White Rock Lake Park. We stopped by Serious Pizza in Deep Ellum to start off the session, because what better way to kick things off?! Their little man, Daxon, is so cute I can’t deal. This family session was also a maternity session as they are expecting their second son soon! I can’t wait to capture their first weeks as a family of four when baby arrives.
The middle of a Texas summer may not be the ideal time for a maternity session, but we got lucky and had a nice breeze during this sunset session. Brittany reached out and asked my advice on what to wear for her maternity session and I was so excited to see she was considering not only a short dress which is super cute and definitely more comfortable in this heat, but she also wanted to pair it with a kimono. I have a thing for kimonos because they add interest to an outfit as well as movement when there’s a breeze outside. The light blue paired with floral (another fave of mine) is perfect for this momma who is expecting their first child- a baby boy!
I’ve been wanting to do an in home couples session like this for so long, i’m so happy I got to do it with these two and their pup, Blue! In home sessions are seriously life savers during the hot Texas summers. These two wanted to celebrate moving into their new home with pizza, beer, and some adorable photos! I love in home sessions especially because every home is so unique, as are the people who live there. These sessions are a great way to have a laid back photo shoot, remember a home or celebrate a new one. Fill out the contact form under “contact” and lets plan your in home session!
Nicole + Daniel are engaged and knew they wanted to make their engagement session totally unique to them, and with Daniel’s lifelong love of all things Star Wars the decision was easy! Light sabers for a prop? Amazing! These two are getting married on a cruise ship so we also made sure to go to a location with a water feature to match the theme of water through out their photos. This park with a waterfall running over the cliffs and a lake with a cute dock leading out to the middle was perfect for this vision!
Road tripped out to Granbury to reunite with Sara and meet the rest of the fam! It seems like just yesterday that Sara had her maternity photos done when she was pregnant with her son Rowan and now he’s 6 months old! I’m so happy they chose me to continue to capture their memories as a family. We shot in the Brazos River and a gorgeous park next to it, there were even a few Texas wildflowers left for us to shoot in! I love traveling for my clients and getting to see new places.
I am so glad that I got to be a part of this incredible styled shoot with photographers from all over the U.S.! Hot air balloons have always been a love of mine, there’s something so vintage and magical about them. My husband and I went up in a hot air balloon over Phoenix last August and it was a beautiful experience that I will never forget. When I heard about this styled shoot happening near me I was so excited! Two bright colored hot air balloons, a vintage plane, three model couples and sixteen photographers- what could be more fun! Thank you to everyone involved !

I am so happy that I was able to take Hayes newborn images for his sweet parents, Jessica + Jason! After Jessica’s maternity session, I felt so honored to be able to be a small part of their journey again. Jessica and Jason live in an amazing 50’s mid century modern home that they have spent years renovating to their unique style and it looks absolutely amazing! I love seeing all of the small important details that people put into their homes to make it feel like home.
I always like to photograph the nursery during a newborn session, because so much time is spent making it perfect and someday that nursery will change and evolve into a toddlers room, a teenagers room, and so on. Those details are so important and they will live on in these images.
