Vanessa + Joe always bring their A game to their sessions- this was no exception! Not only is Vanessa absolutely glowing while carrying their first child, but these two glow just from the love that they show each other every time I see them. Their little one is going to have two of the sweetest parents out there. I was so excited when Vanessa and Joe were down to get in the lake for a few shots at the end of their session! Wading in just a few feet in the shallow water of Lake Grapevine makes for some really magical shots when the sun is setting. Anyone who wants some water shots- just let me know! I love doing them!!
First of all: YES, you can bring your pups! Always bring the pups!!
Second: I just adore Ana’s smile and how vibrantly she is glowing in these photos!!
Ana’s blush pink lace detailed dress was a dream and happened to look so beautiful in front of the little patches of sunflowers that were on the side of this dirt road. I love finding little surprise spots even at locations I shoot regularly.
Everleigh is one lucky little girl! After doing Chassidy’s maternity session I knew she had amazing style, but when I saw how beautifully decorated their home was it made all of my photographer dreams come true! I especially fell in love with Everleigh’s nursery and the soft colors and variety of textures they used to bring together their first born daughter’s room. I made sure to capture each hand made detail of Everleigh’s nursery, so much thought and love is put into nursery rooms and they won’t always look like that. I also have to applaud Chassidy for the bow collection she has acquired for Everleigh- she will have on brand bows every time she goes to target, Starbucks and chick-fil-a!
The Matthew’s house had the most amazing soft lighting throughout and the sweetest details that made this lifestyle newborn session oh so special! I especially adore all of the sweet little bows Michelle had ready for Callie to model. So precious.
Baylee and her little man Oliver were a breath of fresh air! His happy face made my whole week. Meeting people like them is why I love doing giveaways every once in awhile, Baylee was the winner of my most recent mini session giveaway and chose to do a mommy and me session with her 6 month old, Oliver. His little overalls and bright eyes make these photos priceless!
The Smith family wanted something different and candid so we decided to split their session in half! Half in Deep Ellum and half over at White Rock Lake Park. We stopped by Serious Pizza in Deep Ellum to start off the session, because what better way to kick things off?! Their little man, Daxon, is so cute I can’t deal. This family session was also a maternity session as they are expecting their second son soon! I can’t wait to capture their first weeks as a family of four when baby arrives.
Chassidy and Chase celebrating the last few weeks before their rainbow baby girl arrives! Chassidy is a fellow photographer and our visions matched up together flawlessly, I cant wait to see what is in store for their lifestyle newborn session! The sunset at the end of their session was so pretty shining through the little patch of wild sunflowers we found along side the road. I love how different and exciting each maternity session can be.
The middle of a Texas summer may not be the ideal time for a maternity session, but we got lucky and had a nice breeze during this sunset session. Brittany reached out and asked my advice on what to wear for her maternity session and I was so excited to see she was considering not only a short dress which is super cute and definitely more comfortable in this heat, but she also wanted to pair it with a kimono. I have a thing for kimonos because they add interest to an outfit as well as movement when there’s a breeze outside. The light blue paired with floral (another fave of mine) is perfect for this momma who is expecting their first child- a baby boy!
I’ve been wanting to do an in home couples session like this for so long, i’m so happy I got to do it with these two and their pup, Blue! In home sessions are seriously life savers during the hot Texas summers. These two wanted to celebrate moving into their new home with pizza, beer, and some adorable photos! I love in home sessions especially because every home is so unique, as are the people who live there. These sessions are a great way to have a laid back photo shoot, remember a home or celebrate a new one. Fill out the contact form under “contact” and lets plan your in home session!
Nicole + Daniel are engaged and knew they wanted to make their engagement session totally unique to them, and with Daniel’s lifelong love of all things Star Wars the decision was easy! Light sabers for a prop? Amazing! These two are getting married on a cruise ship so we also made sure to go to a location with a water feature to match the theme of water through out their photos. This park with a waterfall running over the cliffs and a lake with a cute dock leading out to the middle was perfect for this vision!
